Trail Rides
On Site Trails
At Silver's Trails, our paths are padded with oak chips and beautifully shaded making it an enjoyable and quiet walk for the beginner rider or a smooth, yet exciting lope for the advanced rider. The three acre trail provides a park-like setting with concrete picnic tables, a rod iron western swing, and even an old fashioned wooden bridge ensuring for a wonderful horseback afternoon. To test your skill and add variety to your trail, you can walk your horse through the dry creek bed.

Experience our optional "trail class" portion of the trail to challenge yourself even further by opening a mail box, crossing over logs, stepping up onto a pallet, and crossing over a tarp in our obstacle course which simulates the unexpected adventures of western riding. You can also take advantage of the electricity and lighting at the covered pavillin for a peaceful and safe evening ride under the stars while listening to your favorite music. Children staying for extended lessons can also enjoy the trails for the unusual horse swing, exploring nature, and "working the ranch."
On site trails also include access to our sand-arena complete with poles for polebending, barrels for barrel racing, and a small jump for jumping. Riding in the arena can include as many or as few of these elements as you prefer.

River Trail Rides
For a longer trail riding experience, ask about our river rides. Just 2 miles from Silver's Trails, at the LCRA Grelle Park, you can ride maintained trails through the woods. These trails are ideal for those who enjoy a scenic route and an escape into nature. The ride begins with a walk along the river's shore and gradually leads you down a wooded trail. In this adventure, you'll experience uphill and downhill slopes, windy paths, the riverside view, and plenty of wildlife. There are many straightaways and open spaces for running. Or take the long ride at a comfortable pace and find the real meaning of "western leisure riding."

Ask about swimming during the spring or summer to experience a literal river ride!
